Our journey began as a lavender farm. We planted it to build the place we had imagined, and for a while it was everything — rows of it running across the hillside above Loiri Porto San Paolo, with Tavolara out on the water beyond.

Then, after two years, disease came. One by one the plants began to die, and we watched nearly every field disappear. One small field survived.

The field that’s still here

That field is the one we tend now, and it has come to mean rather more to us than a crop. It is the reason we did not stop. We look after it carefully, harvest it by hand, and make what we can from what it gives us — a smaller harvest than we once planned for, and a good deal more precious.

What we make from it

Everything we produce comes from that field: dried lavender and sachets, and the soaps, oils and other lavender-inspired items we make in small batches under our own la Wanda label. You can see the full range on our Soap & Beauty page.

Come and see it

The field is a short walk from the glamping tent, and it is where we hold our yoga and wellness workshops through the year. Visitors are welcome to walk it — in early summer, when it is in flower, it is the best reason we know to come up the hill.
